Through my art I find the means for communicating the moments and thoughts that I find inexpressible, the places and areas where language seems to fall short.

I live in my head and feel that my artwork is reflective of the worlds and thoughts inside my brain and heart.

My work is inspired from ideas and things that I dwell upon in my subconscious, lines of poetry, song lyrics, figures of speech, strange worlds, etc. I find that some of my art is also created in moods of pure and simple spontaneity.

I’m in love with texture, color and shape. Many of my paintings are tactile and because it is important to me that my work be experienced both visually and texturally, I treat my work with several layers of fix so that they can be touched.

I feel that art is about the interactions that expression creates between people. I make art for the connections, reactions, conversations and thoughts that each person shares with me upon looking at the work that I have made.

An aphorism by Hippocrates states: “Life is short and art is long.” I create my art to help make the moments in Life a bit more bearable… perhaps, even a bit more enjoyable.
